Asbestos Exposure in School….?
Filed in Mesothelioma Info on Feb.18, 2011
Between Kindergarten and 2nd grade (I’m in my 1st yr of college now) I was in a school that had asbestos ceiling panels/insulation as well as those cancer-causing PCB fluorescent lights. Honestly, what are my odds of contracting something nasty like Mesothelioma? Granted, I know the asbestos was undisturbed, but still, what are the odds? And please tell me how certain you are of them.
Thank you.
BTW the school district was sued for its endangerment of youth back in the mid 90′s, and cleaned up its act since.

Really you have no reason to worry, if the asbestos is undisturbed you should be OK.
IF you do get worried, go to a doctor, they can help more than any of us on the interwebs can.

You chances are zero.
There are plenty of buildings that contain asbestos the fact that it is present means nothing and you stated it was not disturbed. Fluorescent lights do not cause cancer.

You are probably in an odds area less than that for getting struck by lightning. About one in a million. The reference has some reasonable info.
